Congratulations to Cambria Barnes! - United States Senate Youth Program

The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) announces that Ms. Cambria Isabelle Barnes and Mr. Andrew Joseph Schumann will join Senator Tom Udall and Senator Martin Heinrich in representing New Mexico in the nation’s capital during the 58th annual USSYP Washington Week, to be held March 7 — 14, 2020. Cambria Barnes of Rio Rancho and Andrew Schumann, also of Rio Rancho, were selected from among the state’s top student leaders to be part of the 104 national student delegation who will also each receive a $10,000 college scholarship for undergraduate study.

Congratulations to Coach Shay Todaro for being named the Class AAA Coach of the Year for Girls Cross Country! After leading the Coyotes to District and State titles and District Coach of the Year honors, Todaro is being honored on the state level. This recognition puts him in the running for Coach of the Year for the entire state! Well done Coach!! The accolades are well deserved.

COYOTES WIN STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huge congratulations goes out to our high school girls cross country team!! They competed in the 2019 NMAA State Cross Country Championships this past weekend and came away with the AAA State Title!!! This is the program's 2nd title in the past 3 years and CCPS's 3rd State title overall! The team is comprised of Jordyn Tatum-Sr, Liza Cardinale-Jr, Aubrey Lozoya-So, Lauren Tracey-Jr, Isabella Cabral-Fr, Sophia Lopez-Fr, Ellie Merhege-8th, Zoey Mancuso de Lopez-Jr, and Abby Merhege-Fr.

Congratulations to the girls and boys high school cross country teams for their victories over the weekend in the District 5AAA Cross Country Championships held at Cuba High School. These victories secure both teams appearances in the State Championships on Saturday, November 9th at Rio Rancho HS. Not only did our teams take home the hardware, but our coach, Shay Todaro was named both the Boys and the Girls District Coach of the Year!!!
