Open House - Tuesday, August 30th, 6:00-8:00pm

Dear CCPS Families,

Here is information regarding our Open House Event this coming Tuesday evening.  We will be starting our actual Open House schedule at 6:00 p.m. where parents will be following their children’s class schedules for an abbreviated opportunity to hear from each teacher and to get some important information about what your child (and you) can expect.  However, before we actually start the class schedule, there will be opportunities for parents to walk around the school and get familiar with the set-up as well as to hear more from our Parent Advisory Council (PAC), our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and our Cottonwood Classical Foundation (CCF).  The PTO will be selling pizza slices and water for those of you who are not able to go home or to dinner before we get things rolling.

The schedule will be as follows:

5:30 pm – Doors Open – PTO selling pizza and water in Main Student Entrance

5:30 – 6:00  – self-tours of the campus, visit PAC, PTO, and Foundation information tables

6:00– 6:10  – 1st period

6:15 – 6:25 – 2nd period

6:30 – 6:40 – 3rd period

6:45 – 6:55 – 4th period

7:00 – 7:10 – 5th period

7:15 – 7:25 – 6th period

7:30 – 7:40 – 7th period

7:40 – 8:00 – Open time  (this time is designed for parents who have more than one child here and would like to get a chance to meet all of their children's teachers.  Classrooms will be open and teachers available for brief conversations)

Attached here is a blank class schedule template for children to complete prior to the Open House so that parents will know where to go.  Because of the limited space that we have in the individual classrooms, we are asking that students not accompany parents to the classrooms, however, we know that there will be families who need to bring their children to the event, so that is fine.

Finally, we ask that parents follow the schedule as we have laid it out so that all teachers get a chance to make the presentations that they have prepared.  If you have specific issues that you would like to discuss with an individual teacher about your child, the Open House is not the venue for that conversation.  If you desire a more direct conversation with a particular teacher, please email the teacher with that request.

We can’t wait to see you all here!
