What we do:
The Sandoval County Eviction Prevention and Rent/Utility/Mortgage Arrears Program assists low to moderate income qualifying households with paying up to $3,000 arrears in rent, utility, or mortgage for those experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID Pandemic.

- Century Link Lifeline program: Low-income households may receive discounted landline telephone service OR internet service (you can receive a discount on one, but not both). To set up your discounted service (landline phone or internet), call (800) 244-1111, then when prompted say “new customer.” The Century Link rep you talk to will send you the application; then you will need to complete the application and provide proof of low-income to qualify for the discounted service.
- Comcast: Offering $10 per month home Internet access to families who qualify for free school lunches. Families can also receive a laptop for $150 + tax. In order to be eligible families must not have subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days and must not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment. Call 855-846-8376 to request an application. It will take 7 to 10 days to receive an application. It will take about 1 week to get a response and another week to set up the service

Your Local Providers Are Here to Help
The Early Childhood Education and Care Department’s (ECECD) Child Care Assistance Program subsidizes the cost of child care for families at or below 400% of the federal poverty level that are working, seeking work and/or in school. Currently, families that make at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) – $120,000 a year for a family of four qualify for child care assistance.
Here’s what you’ll need to apply:
- Current proof of income
- Birth Verification for all applicant household children
- Verification of Educational Activity/School Schedule for adults (if applicable)
- Picture ID for Applicant
- Proof of New Mexico Residency (lease agreement, utility bill, mortgage)
- Contact info for selected child care provider
